Common Sense Classroom Management:  Management Practices That Work Across Different Modalities (7-12)

This is an 8-hour course that features mini-lectures on the principles and components This is an 8-hour course that features mini-lectures on the principles and components of good classroom management, group discussions on how to address problematic classroom situations, case studies for the application of content learned, and individual reflection to allow for internalization of the course content to personal context.

Course Objectives:

At the end of the course, the participants are expected to

1. Understand why students misbehave in class

2. Be equipped with the knowledge and skills to proactively and reactively address the concerning behaviors of students

3. Be updated on technology tools that may assist in classroom management

4. Realize and recognize one’s responsibility and accountability in managing a class
