Christianity in East and Southeast Asia book cover

This book is part of a series that attempts to comprehensively map worldwide Christianity. This volume covers every country in our region and offers both reliable demographic information and original interpretative essays by indigenous scholars and practitioners. Christianity in East and Southeast Asia maps patterns of growth and decline, assesses major traditions and movements, analyzes key themes, and examines current trends as it aspires to become a standard work of reference in its field.

Fr Francis D Alvarez SJ, Chair of the Department of Catholic Education Philosophy and Practice, edited and wrote for this book with Dr Kenneth R Ross of Zomba Theological College in Malawi and Dr Todd M Johnson of Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary and Boston University’s Institute for Culture, Religion, and World Affairs. In a truly ecumenical fashion, writers from different Christian traditions collaborated to provide a picture of how the Good News has spread and is spreading still in our part of the world.
