Hyflex Learning: Navigating the Transition
If your school has made the decision to go hyflex and started to put in place the logistics involved for pivoting to this mode of learning, this workshop is perfect for you! As Basic Education schools get busy with the operational matters, academic supervisors and teachers need to get into high gear also, making curricular and instructional decisions about their hyflex classes! Transitioning to a new mode does not necessarily mean a complete overhaul of your unit plans but it DOES mean rethinking certain key parts of your unit design. This workshop will also ensure that you don’t forget key aspects of instructional delivery that you must consider!
At the end of this workshop, participants will be able to:
1. Plan for a Hyflex learning environment keeping in mind the affordances and limitations that each environment can offer to the teaching-learning experience.
2. Design a unit plan for hyflex learning that requires minimal revisions to previous unit plans that have already proven to be effective
3. Identify student engagement and classroom management strategies that will better ensure that learning outcomes are me
