Chemteach: Chemistry for Junior High School teachers
ChemTeach is a 4-day workshop that covers both lecture and lab topics for Junior high school chemistry. It is a review of General Chemistry for high school teachers, and also covers different ways to teach it.
1. To review the principles and concepts needed for Junior HS chemistry, particularly matter, its types, composition, and the physical and chemical processes that it undergoes when it interacts with other forms of matter. 2. To make strategic choices in the use of appropriate online tools to teach content and simulate laboratory exercises online as well as develop the skills to perform, design, and supervise laboratory activities. 3. Find the inspiration to innovate, contextualize, indigenize, think outside of the box, and fabricate so that they can develop learning tools, instructional materials, and relevant examples and applications of chemistry concepts in real life situations
